5 things to do when you're single and alone during Valentines

A lot of corny people call valentines day SAD or Single Awareness Day. Desperate people can make acronyms with anything, just ask the senatorial slate of some candidates today. There are a lot of people who go all emo on Feb. 14 and this is just sad. So here are 5 things to get your mind of this day or to do in any boring day.

1. Read the Bible-

83% of the Filipino people who believe in Christianity don't read the bible. It is somewhere in the top shelf in a forgotten place. What better day is it than to get and read it than valentines day? It will distract you from your emo self with the good word.

Read any book in the Bible. It is not boring! Trust me! It may seem dull when we were young but that was a few years ago when cartoons was an afternoon routine. The Bible has full of stories with interesting facts. Did you know that there were no cats in the Bible? That Isaac was a young man when Abraham almost offered him? There are more interesting stuff if you read them yourself.

2. Eat something exotic.

All of the good restos are taken in the v-day. So go to a weird place where no one eats. There are Indians cuisines all around the metro. You just have to look for it. If you are in a small budget you can always go to isaw areas in UP. (I know that you haven't gone there yet.)

Be warned here. Pick your battles. Don't eat something that you know will ruin your stomach. You don't want to poop all day on February 15.

3. Watch the LOTR trilogy.

There are only a few movies that you can watch over and over again and will still be good. LOTR is one of these movies. It has all of the elements a good movie. Action, drama, comedy and CGI. You won't remember that it is valentines day when watching this movie because you will only remember that "You shall not pass!"

If you have a life and prefer to sleep early you can always watch one of the greatest movie trilogy ever Back to the Future! It has all of the 4 elements. Even if the CGI is just a 3d shark. (at this point I have lost all of the coherence with what I am saying because I am distracted by a call.)

4. Shoot a gun.

I have no idea why I placed this in this post. I am so lost right now because I am distracted. Why shoot a gun? I don't know. To release stress i guess. To shout while firing? Where do you do this? er.... uh... I have not thought this through before writing this and this is permanent typing thing cannot be erased....

OH OH OH!!! LASER TAG! go laser tagging! nerd and emo safe!

5. Write a blog.

If you are as bored as me and have something useless to say write a blog. Don't post is on twitter and facebook. Have some decency to write it in a paragraph(S).

Post pictures if you are not in the mood for typing. Don't write all of your emo crap because no one wants to know those stuff. Especially a valentines day post because no one is going to read it.

5 reasons why I like walking in the am

I don't have a car on certain days. And while walking I have devised 5 reasons why I want to walk.

1. Morning Air/Cold

The morning air in the Philippines is quite nice. For some reason I enjoy it in the morning and can't taste the pollution. Maybe I am already filled with toxins in my body to notice it but the air is relaxing. It's cold and has a weird Filipino smell. The smell of beach minus the ocean smell. No I am not high in the am. This is just the mind of a half asleep man.

2. Beauty Parlors are still closed

Fact #1 beauty parlors open near noon.

Fact #2 95% of the beauty parlors are run buy gays.

Fact#3 gay beauticians are loud.

Fact#4 I have been harassed by a gay beautician (another story no link yet).

Fact#5 I have come to hate loud gay people, especially gay beauticians.

Fact#6 In the am there are no gay beauticians

3. sleepy crazy people

Morning is a good time to be crazy. There are a lot of people who are still half awake and trying to wake up their own way. So there are a lot of people that you can see waking themselves up using their own way.

This happened to me this morning. As I was walking pass this furniture shop one of the guards stood up and shouted "AH YIS!" with the Bisaya accent and all. Not only did it wake them up. It woke me up too. Good job crazy security guard.

4. No Jeepney Drivers

By foot I arrive at work in 10 mins. By car I reach work in 5mins. But in those 10mins I don't deal with the crazy jeepney drivers. It takes me 5 whole minutes of honking and over taking to reach work. The stress of this is just frustrating. Walking is a totally different. You walk in front of the jeeps and they stop for you. You walk slower they don't move. It is a small payback. I have to find all of my victories!!! sue me!!!

5. I wake up earlier

Usually this happens in the am. ZZZZZZ snooze ZZZZZZZ snooze ZZZZ snoooze FUUUUUUU! But when I am walking I wake up earlier because I know that I am going to be late no matter what. So yea. This is a lame reason but at least I have a reason for walking.

3 Steps on How to Make Kids Listen to You in a Class

Teaching kids can be really fulfilling especially when they approach you and tell you thank you. Unfortunately after 5 years of teaching I have never experienced this but I heard that it was great. Making kids or people in your class listen to you intently is also a great feeling. This is really difficult because being boring while teaching is like a sheep being white. (this metaphor means that black sheep like being an interesting teacher comes rarely) Here are some tips and things that I do to make kids/students listen to me:

1. Insult one of them.

This method seems cruel but it is catchy and effective. Target the noisiest student from the flock. It is more likely that he/she won't be hurt that much. The class will listen to you because they A. hate this guy/girl B. is so bored that they want to hear something different.

Example:

Kid: "BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA"

You: "Oi little boy/girl palengkera/palengkero ka ba? (Hey little boy/little girl are you a wet market vendor?)

Class: "haha palengkera" (haha wet market vendor)

*in the Philippines a wet market vendor is just 2 ranks higher than a garbage man ( from no credible source)

Note: When insulting the kid avoid:

a. Physical Attributes- This is why fat/ugly kids commits suicide.

b. Intellect - don't call kids moron or idiots. This is where angry parents literally attack you.

c. family - never ever insult their parents and family members. Yo mama joke is funny between friends but frowned upon by educators.

2. Insult the class

A group insulted means that they have 1 goal in common. And having 1 common goal between people is better that bored people. This works every time. An angry class or laughing at the scenic jokes of the teacher makes them shut up and listen to you most of the time.

Example:

You: "very good. Now we know that you guys can hear. Next step is if you are capable of learning."

This is tricky because there is a small variety of topics you can insult them without being an ass.

a. Their intelligence as a group. They won't feel hurt because they think that you are talking about the guy/ girl next to them.

b. Vague and weird insults. Telling them that they work like a car running on vegetable oil makes them think about this. They won't get what you are talking about and they will just listen and maybe you will say something connected to it.

3.Using the Iron Fist

This is my favorite method. Why? Because I can be an ass and I wouldn't be called an ass but a disciplinarian. How do you do this? Simple. Use a loud and angry voice. Put your foot down. Don't let the kid bully you. Bully the kid so silence.

Example:

Kid: "Bla bla bla bla bla"

You:" ok get out."

Kid: " i will be quiet."

You: "NO! get out now!"

Kid: ------*silence*-----

You: " NOW! everyone will wait until you get out."

Yea kinda strict but it works every time. Especially on asshole kids. But like every tip there is a gray area:

a. never ever curse at the student. You will look like a jerk. I had a teacher once who called someone a JABRONI. Who calls a person a jabroni? If you're the Rock you can do that but a teacher? JERK!

b. never slap/push or pull a kid. Even tempting that it might be. Corporal punishment is over. You can't use a stick or your hand to discipline these kids. Besides they might have a big dad or brother who can beat you up.

Now go and teach kids/students!

I have 30 mins before i leave and go to a thing. I watched these movies late at night this week. I am vague on the details but I know what was going on. So here it goes.

1. I hope they serve beer in hell.

not a good poster either

This movie is like a slow roller coaster ride with only 1 loop. Every scene you expect something awesome but you end up getting disappointed because of the slow movement of the story. There are around 4 to 5 scenes that they should have done better. Even if it is "based on a true story", the director should have tweaked some scenes to make it damn funny.

hey wake up. My last scene was kinda funny.

On the upside there were 2 scenes that were noteworthy. 1. The jail scene. 2. The poop scene. They are so gross that it's funny. It is like the humor in Planet Terror but less eating human more of poop and vomit.

Overall I would give this movie 2 pen clicks and a check. (I have no idea what that rating is. I am just so sleepy.)

2. Couples retreat

3 unfunny couples. oh wait!

Several months ago I made a poster review about this movie (LINK or lack thereof). What I didn't realize was that there was a 4th couple. This picture that I have posted includes them. It's a little bit racist that the black couple is at the back and is embedded with the background.

My lack of sleep is not making my creative juices make transition sentence into the next sentence that I will be writing from the 1st paragraph. This movie is an all star cast. Unfortunately, the directing and the script of this movie is kinda shallow and dull. I was expecting more of a R rated jokes from Vince Vaughn and Jason Bateman.

The good side about this movie is Kristen Bell in a bikini. I know that she already wore a bikini and a sex scene in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. but these were the only parts that made me watch the movie and John Reno. (super run on sentence) John Reno was funny in this movie. The guru something something. From an uptight French dude he became an enlightened master in this movie.

This scene happens 2 or 3 more times in the movie.

I would rate this movie 2 1/2 donkey statues because of the bikinis.

If you do you're in luck. The Apple Ipad (this is how people in the Philippines pronounces Ipod) 16gb is exactly $499! $599 for 32gb and $699 for 64gb! Add $130 and you get the 3g! Plus for another $99 it turns into a hover board!

The Ipad is bigger than all of my text combined.

The price of this item doesn't bother me as much as its' features. This tablet features are almost similar to most multi-media devices. Archos, creative and the like or iTouch. They just made the outer casing like the iphone and poof; It is now the IPAD!

Ipad is strike 2 for Apple for ugly names. The first one is iTouch or Ipod Touch. Really? No one thought that was kinda sexual or weird?? And now Ipad. I can imagine now at greenhills people asking for the Ipad and the vendor ends up showing them an Ipod.

I can't say that I am an expert of Apple products and let alone techie items but this item is ridiculous. It is just a bigger itouch with an disproportionate price tag. It is a much bulkier item period. Don't get me wrong. If I am given an Ipad I would use and enjoy it and try to figure out where the hover board button is.

5 worse things that your maid can do to you

All or most of us here in the Philippines have one maid in the house. I am just stating the possibility. I am not saying all Indays are like this. so here are the top 5 worse things that you maid can do to you:

1. Dis arrange your items -

I know my room isn't a candidate for the dewey decimal system of rooms but i know where i place my stuff. I really really hate it when the maid moves some stuff and I will not see that item again for another 6 months.

The most frustrating thing about this is you know the thing is there until the day you need it. You search and search and search. Just to find out that the maid has thrown it away.... O_o

2. Put some weird stuff in your food/drink

Maids usually prepare your food and sometimes drinks. I don't know anything about cooking with a pan. If i cooked my own food for a month i would most likely die of radioactive poisoning from the microwave.

90% of the food that i eat are prepared and made by the maid. This is scary because the whole time i won't know what she puts in it. She might be an evil doctor putting experimental drugs in my food. Checking if the white guy will turn black after ingesting black ink for a month. It is like putting my hand in an unknown box but instead of my hand it's my mouth. But putting my mouth in a dirty box is still better than being mutated by a microwave.

3. See you naked

The safest place to get naked is your room and/or bathroom. It is your comfort zone of nudity. You even walk around naked because of the security you feel. Until one day you forget to lock your door. Your maid gets ready to clean your room and accidentally opens your door and "ay nako sir!" and you freaking scramble for cover!

If the maid is kinda new its okay. You know she won't last long because of the trauma that you have caused her. If this happens to your super long time maid this will be a big problem. Every time you look at her you will remember her shocked faced seeing you naked body. You will have to live this out until she a.) dies b.) you leave your parents house you lazy bum.

4. Steal from you

One of the worst feelings in life is when someone steals from you. that is why Bernie Madoff is rotting in Jail. And that is why Erap went to jail. Unfortunately due to the Filipino people's short term memory, we continue our lives and let him run for the presidency AGAIN.

The maid knows your house. She knows where you put all of your items and she has the power to take it anytime she wants. If your maid is a freaking klepto you're dead. All of your "hard earned" stuff will be gone! slowly it will be milked away.

The sad thing about this is that you won't know that it is gone until it is gone. Because of the complex way that she arranges your items you will get disarrayed and find out that something is missing when it is already gone. Good thing for us we are in the Philippines and we won't feel that bad after a week.

5. Kill you

You might think it isn't possible but it is! LINK and LINK. Psychos are everywhere. Even in your own home! Just when you're sleeping comfortably at night the maid creeps in. With a freaking knife!

There are some ways to prevent this by:

a. Locking your door. Or if she is a super psycho like Jack N. in The Shining. "here's INDAY!"

b. putting a nanny cam in your house. Atleast there is video evidence on how you were killed. Maybe it can be a youtube sensation. O_O

4 months... 120 days since my last post. I can't say that I was busy with life that is why I didn't made any new post because that would be a total lie. I di'dnt post anything because I am lazy! I have become a blog bum for 4 months. No typing or writing for the past 4 months. Not even a single book finished. I was in literary hell, (I know that sounds bad but I haven't been typing for 4 months!)

Let me list the top 4 things that I was doing during the hiatus:

1. Playing NBA 2k10

Something about this game makes me wanna play it every other night. I just can't point my finger on what it is. Maybe it is the feeling of winning even if I am just beating repetitive computer moves or maybe it is my fantasy to run all over the court and jumping like them.... (super run-on sentence). What ever it is I am playing again tonight.

2. Real Basketball

Believe it or not I joined a league 4 months ago. We were like playing basketball 4 times a week max. I was kinda addicted because at one point my shoes went missing. I had to use my old OLD run down shoes. It looked so old that it made the Dolphy look like a new born baby. I can't find it now. I think I lost that pair too.

3. December laziness

December is the time of the year where everyone buys and eats. I failed in doing what an Entrepreneur should be doing selling stuff and food. There is no one to blame why I got so lazy. I just went about and did nothing last December. No item, no blog, no nothing. I blame myself and my big fat tummy!

4. TV show season

There are a fart load of tv shows that I watch. From Greys Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Eastwick, Glee to the more cooler shows like the Office, Castle and House. When November came I had a lot of shows to watch. AND I learned about 6 new shows and 2 shows that have previous seasons. So at night guess what I did. O_O

Wolverien movie review

Watched it last Thursday. It was okay. The action was okay. The story was so so. But there was something wrong with it that I couldn't put my finger on.

Things that made me wonder if it was a good movie:

-There were too many characters. It is quite obvious that Marvel is setting up characters like gambit for a movie. But why put a lot of really really extra mutants that does nothing?

-The good actors had to die first or had little roles. Dominic Monagham! WHY WHY WHY!!! Ryan Reynolds! Why did he just have a 10 min speaking role!!!

-The story was too predictable. Sabretooth helps wolverine in defeating a bigger enemy. Big surprise there.

-Ending differs every time you watch it. Or that is what they say. Come on! I didn't download it because I want to see the claws. And you give me one lousy ending. The movie goers that paid for the movie should get all of the endings not just one crappy ending where the walking guy gets stopped by the military that no one in the audience got!

So in conclusion Wolverine Xmen origins is a big ? to me. These 4 points has been baffling me if i will put it in my crap bin for super hero childhood movies or one of the so so super hero childhood movies.

I will just post a poster and end this blog.

While pumping some iron(YEA!!!), I flipped into the disney channel and saw Cadet Kelly. This movie is a really really old disney channel movie staring Hillary Duff when she was still cute and hasn't yet turned into a horse. So basically the story is a young kid goes to summer military school and is left out. There is a dancing marching contest and she joins makes her school win and is like by everyone. What I can't believe is that this movie makes kids want to go to military school. Going to military school isnt about dancing! Clip from the movie! but first....

The movie poster looks really cool. Simple and funny. Kinda like Zack and Miri make a porno. But unfortunately movies that Katherine Heigl appear must suck somehow.

They show their faces in the poster. This ruins the whole movie for me. I dislike Katherine Heigl. Even if she has great breasts, I think she still sucks. She isn't funny at all! And I cannot imagine Mr. Sparta on the right being funny. If only if... he does a cameo of 300 in this movie will I like this movie. I bet he will be an adonis in this movie, meaning a handsome quircky guy that the women chase after.(This is a fact because all of Dr. Izzy's male counter part is like that)

My hopes of watching a funny movie fails and is replaced by another romantic love comedy (girl hates guy, girl falls to guy, guy does something stupid, girl forgives, happy ending. Replace guy with girl if necessary).

Half a dozen posters have come out for the new Terminator movie. This one is my favorite. I feel that this movie will be really good. The Christian Bale outburst really made me feel that this movie is going to be good. If you havn't heard of it i will post it later at the bottom. It is so funny. Watch the Micheal Cera version. I don't know about you guys but I remember this book when I was young. I remember looking at the cover of this book in the freaking London Library (not really, it's just some library in London), Sosi! ahahha! I never read this book back then when I first saw it. But a few years ago I looked into this book. Its about some kid being a bitch. Yea a bitch. So he goes into a dimension that is full of monsters. In the end he realizes that he is in fact a little bitch. And the ending there is a lesson. I hope this movie is good. Hollywood I spit on you if you make this movie shit. You have already destroyed my childhood memories with the 2 green apes movies that you call Hulk, the street fighter chun-li tease that was just a big pile of vomit and then freaking dragon ball. WITH YOU KRIRIN! DAMN YOU! the bald monk makes the show funny when Gouku was young. So the point of this post is that this movie should be nice. Or else there will be a pissed up blogger. Let's one thing straight: We are not the victims here. She is.

We've never been raped. Never been exposed to an overblown media circus.
Never been agitated in court. Never been harassed by reporters, lawyers and embassy men.
So when someone like Korina Sanchez announces on her AM radio station that Nicole is a disgrace to Filipino women everywhere (translated from tagalog), you can't help but shudder.
So this is justice, this is hate.
It's no wonder she left the country.

We are not the victims here. Yet, we are the ones who cannot forgive.
Here we are, sitting in our armchairs, waving our nation's flags, our gender's hopes, our nurtured concepts of justice.
But the thing is, we did nothing.
We let people like Raul Gonzalez change the prosecutors of the case.
We let people like NSA Norberto Gonzales change custody of Smith in the dead of the night.
We let the US embassy exert pressure on Nicole by withdrawing her US VISA.
We allowed countless women like Nicole to be gobbled up by the system, by the politics.
So who are we to judge?
Who are we to cast the first stone?

Truth be told, we've already used her up.
We got the conviction - which allowed us to question the VFA in the Supreme Court.
We got the Supreme Court decision.
What more do we want?
Maybe just more blood, sweat and tears.

what can we do?
Right now, if you really care for Nicole, you will support the drafting of a disbarment complaint against Daniel Smith's lawyer.
Why?
At the time of the affidavit (March 12), Evalyn Ursua was still Nicole's lawyer. She was only fired last Monday (March 16).
Smith's lawyer violated a cardinal rule of legal ethics by talking to Nicole behind her lawyer's back.
Why is this unethical? The legal reason is that it undermines a fellow attorney's ability to handle her client's case. It's a form of disrespect for a colleague.
The practical reason is to prevent people from being tricked since the best defense against the opposing lawyer, is your own lawyer.

In the case of Camacho v. Pangulayan, a UP law professor accused some lawyers of directly negotiating with his clients in order to obtain an amicable settlement.
In effect, they ignored him even though he was the counsel on record.
The Court agreed with the professor and said that the failure to inform opposing counsel is an inexcusable violation of the canons of professional ethics and in utter disregard of a duty owing to a colleague.
The erring lawyer was suspended from the practice of law for three months.

Fast forward to the present:
Smith's lawyer prepares a statement, has a junior associate (who, by the way, is a UP law graduate) notarize the document, and then asks Nicole to sign it as a condition for the release of her VISA and 100,000 pesos.
All this WITHOUT EVER consulting her counsel on record. If Nicole had a lawyer, she might still have signed the affidavit. But it would have never looked this bad. Take a look at paragraphs 6-10, which incorporate all the arguments the defense raised during trial. ALL OF THEM. And then take a look at the last sentence of the affidavit: "I would rather risk public outrage than do nothing to help the court in ensuring that justice is served." The sentence brings a whole new low to the legal profession. I admit I am ashamed of what we have become. Nicole left everything behind so she could start anew, and I don't blame her. Not one bit.

So. Yea I agree with this. All i can say is that....

Why the few posts lateley?

Well I blame the economy. Due to the economic crisis around the world I cannot blog frequently. Why? Because these things are happening that makes me wanna blog less...

1. Depression - people feel down these past few months. They have to save because they might get layed off or don't get any sales. Meaning they cannot spend! No more happy food. No more things that will make you temporarily happy.

I bet this guy is feeling depressed.

2. Take Over by big Companies - In the Philippines there are around a handful of super rich tycoons that if one of them feels like being an asshole a good part of the country will suffer. I will not name any names because I might get threatened. But right now there is a feud that is happening between these 2 big super powers. And it is making the stock market f^ked up! the people are buying and selling when they clearly should just do nothing.

Sadly this will be happening. And the Philippines will be the cause of it.

3. People that are spending so much money - I know a handful of people who doesn't feel the economic hit. They go to other countries and spend thousands and thousands of dollars on stuff. This doesn't depress me! It makes me jealous! DAMN THEM! hahaha! and maybe a little depressed because some of them might not get thru to the crisis due to their habit.

A milestone in oiger history. This has been my 3rd move ever since I started blogging. And to entertain you guys and myself I will give you a riddle.

Brad stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 22nd floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived the fall?
